For the first time, it has been shown that antibiotic fractions obtained from Rörö Seaweeds are effective against Mycobacterius tuberculosis . The main and important achievement of the present investigation is that the antibiotic principle isolated is shown to be hundred per cent effective in controlling the growth in cultures of not only the typical strains of Mycobacterius tuberculosis isolated directly from the sputum fo the patients.
